Hendry Sylvester McNamara (HSM) Irish Dance is Eastchester's premiere community based Irish dance school. The school was first founded by Anne Hendry, TCRG in 2005 to promote Irish dancing and culture in her home town. As the years went on, the faculty grew to include Brenda Geraghty, Maggie McNamara, Elizabeth McNamara and Kevin Sylvester. The Hendry school provided a comprehensive Irish dance education for 15 years sending dancers to regional, national, and world competitions. 2020 Anne Kevin and Liz formed HSM Irish dance to continue providing Irish dance classes to Eastchester.

All classes are taught by one of our registered and certified Irish dance teachers, Anne Hendry TCRG, Kevin Sylvester ADCRG, and Elizabeth McNamara-Bruns TCRG. Teachers are registered with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (The Irish Dancing Commission) in Dublin, Ireland
